Abstract:		 The evaluation was undertaken in area which was thought to lie within the core of the medieval settlement of Charlbury. The only archaeological feature revealed was a 20th century soak-away. The absence of archaeological remains therefore suggested that the land was not intensively used for settlement or industrial activity in the medieval period. [AIP]
