Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the site of Shaftesbury Hospital, where refurbishment was planned. The site lay near the Middle Saxon settlement of Lundenwic, between the conjectured routes of two Roman roads. Five trenches were excavated, but no archaeological deposits were revealed. No further work was recommended.[AIP] |
