Abstract: |
The assessment traced the development of the agricultural landscape but had identified little of archaeological potential. A geophysical survey had identified four narrow linear features in the southern part of the site. Although their interpretation remained uncertain, their archaeological potential was thought to have been low. A trackway was also located, although this did not appear to have been of great antiquity. At the northern end of the site an area of disturbed ground was located. This material was again of recent date, but it could have overlain undisturbed archaeological deposits, which were the context for the small sherd of pottery. [Au(adp)] |
