Abstract: |
The assessment found that the site had a high potential for archaeology. The site was located close to the centre of the shrunken medieval village of Sawley and would have had a high potential for below-ground archaeology. The site also contained a rare 19th century lace maker's house and an early 20th century cobbler's workshop, both would provide information on the cloth industry. [Au(abr)] |
