Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a new drainage trench parallel to, and at the base of the east wall of the chancel of St. Peter's Church. The tops of two post-medieval tombs were revealed, these could be related to surface memorial features within the churchyard to the east. An indeterminate area of brick and greensand masonry was also revealed. A small quantity of disarticulated human bone was recovered from the topsoil, this was reburied within the churchyard. [AIP] |
