Abstract:		 An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site which lay within the lands held by a medieval abbey. Prehistoric animal bones and flints had been found in the surrounding area. During the evaluation, a prehistoric ditch and a late 18th century pit were recorded. Pottery dating from the 16th-18th centuries and part of a shoe were found. A watching brief was recommended for part of the site which had not been evaluated. [AIP]
