Abstract: |
The two monuments comprised a small oval, previously undated enclosure of unknown extent, east of the Neolithic causewayed enclosure at Robin Hood's Ball, and Silver Barrow, a large barrow. The survey defined the extent of the enclosure and suggested that it was of Late Bronze Age date or earlier. The work at Silver Barrow indicated that the setts had severely disturbed a large spread of flint knapping waste, which lay on the old ground surface beneath the mound. [Au(abr)] |
