Abstract: |
During the watching brief a deposit interpreted as part of the 19th century backfill of a ravine was encountered. Post-medieval structural remains, likely to be part of the demolished public convenience, were also encountered. In Area 3, structural remains were partially visible within a void, which opened up in the ground surface of the vehicular access to the station. These remains were interpreted as originating from buildings associated with the 19th century goods yard. [Au(abr)] |
