Abstract:		 A monitoring programme was carried out to the rear of the Monsoon shop during the construction of a new extension. The site had been greatly disturbed by development, however, in one trench undated stratified remains were observed fairly close to the ground surface. It was thought that Roman deposits existed below the developed layers. [Au(adp)]
