Abstract: |
An investigation of the seabed inshore of Mole Rocks, Folkestone was carried out in connection with construction of a stormwater outfall. A probe survey and visual inspection were undertaken of part of the route of the proposed outfall and the archaeological potential of the area was generally found to be low, however several timbers were discovered by probing. From the type of wood it was thought that the timbers were used no earlier than 1700 and further investigation of their structure was recommended. [Au(adp)] |
