Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on the proposed development site. The assessment identified that development of the area was limited to the Bell Street, Worcester Street/Victoria Street and Snow Hill prior to the building of St John's church after 1750. Most of the rest of the area was developed after the building of the church and was occupied by small scale industries. The area of the development was identified as having some potential for medieval archaeology on part of the site and moderate for post-medieval deposits on most of the site. Areas were also identified that had no archaeological potential. [Au(abr)] |
