Abstract: |
The most significant findings of the studies of the archaeological and historical records were the finds recovered from Falstaff Street and the adjacent allotment plot. They indicated that evidence of human activity dating back to the Neolithic could potentially survive close to the site. Tithe map evidence showed that the site contained two field boundaries not reflected on the current field pattern. Past land use was predominantly as pasture, implying the possibility of archaeological remains surviving in good condition, if present. [Au(adp)] |
