Abstract: |
No previous archaeological work had been undertaken within the assessment site, and so the nature of any surviving below ground deposits was unknown. Considering the information collated for this desk-based assessment however, the potential for the discovery of archaeological remains was regarded as moderate for the site as a whole. This potential, in the main, was restricted to the post-medieval period, with a possibility for the remains of a medieval precursor to the Pye Grove farmstead surviving as sub-surface archaeological deposits.
