Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed redevelopment site. Prehistoric, Roman and Saxon remains had been recorded in the surrounding area. Two trenches were excavated, and fifteen flint artefacts were recovered. A fragment of Late Bronze Age pottery and a sherd of probable medieval pottery were found, but no archaeological features were observed. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary.
