Abstract:		 A desk-based study was undertaken to assess the archaeological impact of the various route options for the proposed A354-A353 Dorchester to Weymouth Improvements. The study identified that the Orange Route would have a direct impact on seven sites; the Purple Route would have a direct impact on five sites including two Scheduled Ancient Monuments; whilst the Brown route would have a direct impact upon nine archaeological sites.
