Abstract:
The excavations and watching brief on the site encountered a small number of 2nd century Roman pits containing pottery. A cemetery was also excavated of a slightly later date. This comprised of 15 burials, four of which were decapitation burials. Medieval cross shaped pits recorded in the vicinity of the site were also encountered. [Au(abr)]
