Abstract: |
The remains of the estate boundary wall were located in two of the ten evaluation trenches excavated. However, the considerable disturbance caused by modern services and the demolition of hospital buildings had removed evidence for the layout of the kitchen garden and potential archaeological deposits. The building survey revealed that the spine wall within the former stable block had formed the south-west wall of the inner garden. [Au(abr)] |
