Abstract: |
<summary>Excavation has shown that the site was cluttered with the remains of 19th century backplot buildings. However, sufficient surviving islands of earlier archaeology were found for a general sequence of the development of the area to be tentatively proposed, back to the Middle Ages. The excavation suggested that the town centre was not densely built-up until the 18th-19th centuries. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
