Abstract: |
An evaluation at the site was carried out in advance of alterations to the 19th century Grade II Listed schoolhouse to form apartments, an extension and three new dwellings. A high density of 17th-19th century features was recorded in a single trench, comprising pits, a gully, a ditch and a cobbled surface. The majority of these features were characteristic of domestic backplot activity associated with dwellings towards the street frontage. [Au(abr)] |
