Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring demonstrated the survival of some Roman deposits within the site. Preservation was highest in the north-west corner of the site. Activity seemed to decrease towards the south of the site. This may have indicated the fringe of a Roman settlement. The evidence obtained from this investigation was indicative of domestic occupation in the later Roman period, although no structural evidence was found in the areas examined.[Au(abr)] |
