Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed a large linear feature on the eastern edge of the site likely to have been part of the road construction before the garden wall was built in the 19th century. A pit containing 15th century pottery and two post holes, one containing mid-18th-19th century pottery, were recorded. It appeared that the house and the road to the north of the site had been terraced into the landscape. [Au(adp)] |
