Abstract: |
Trenches totalling a little under 1700m2 were excavated for the purposes of archaeological evaluation. Other than a single, undated ditch, trenching yielded no significant archaeological data. Other parts of the site were inspected during a site walkover. A record by means of a measured sketch and non-rectified photography was made of the main building of Coombe Farm and its associated landscape features. Documents recorded the probable existence of Coombe Farm back to 1692, although it may have been even earlier. [Au(abr)] |
