Abstract: |
Archaeological features that were encountered during the evaluation comprised one medieval or post-medieval burnt patch marking an oven or clamp, one modern ditch, one probable medieval ditch, three grubbed-out hedge lines and an undated post hole. Pieces of medieval pot, a Mesolithic flint core, a prehistoric hammerstone and occasional pieces of iron-smelting slag were found within the plough soil. [Au(abr)] |
