Abstract: |
The evaluation was a continuation of previous excavations carried out on this site in 1994. Previous archaeology included late Neolithic to Late Bronze Age pottery and struck flint. A large sunken pit was also previously identified which was associated with other pits, one of which contained a near complete Beaker pot, possibly a votive offering. In total 47 features were identified (compared to 57 in 1994) including ditches and gullies. A flint axe was also recovered from the bottom of a ditch. [AIP] |
