Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken following a desk-based assessment of a the site, in advance of a proposed development. Eight trenches located palaeochannel deposits and one undated pit which could have been prehistoric in date due to it being sealed by alluvium above. A gravel deposit overlying the alluvium deposits in Trench 1 could have represented the remains of the postulated Roman road but no diagnostic finds were present. [Au(adp)] |
