The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A desk-based assessment identified ten entries recorded in the SMR, dated from the Prehistoric to medieval periods. The Roman period was represented by a coin hoard dating to between AD 346 and 409 found within a pottery vessel, sherds of pottery and an isolated coin find. Evidence for medieval activity consisted of six sherds, a Listed building, a watermill on the Emm Brook, to the south of the site appearing to have been founded in the post-medieval period. There was documentary evidence of a WWII anti-aircraft artillery site at the Toutley Bridge and an entry for the 19th century railway line. The prehistoric period was represented by a number of struck flints, which formed a small cluster possibly indicating a potential occupation site. The conclusion of the study stated that there was the potential that archaeological sites were present. [Au(abr)]
