Abstract: |
Monitoring was carried out on the mechanical de-silting of the northern and western arms of the moat. While little of archaeological interest was revealed the monitoring did indicate that the moat had been extensively de-silted in the last hundred years or so and some landscaping had been carried out in the recent past affecting the eastern end of the northern arm of the moat.
