Abstract: |
Fieldwalking and a magnetometer survey was undertaken on the site in advance of a proposed residential development. The full extent of archaeological activity associated with the major Roman pottery manufacturing industry of the late 3rd and 4th centuries was clarified. Probable medieval activity was also confirmed on Haw Hill. These two distinct centres of activity seemed to be the only sites of archaeological potential across the wider site area. [Au(adp)] |
