Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Area. Prehistoric finds and Roman occupation evidence had been recorded in the surrounding area. Kingston Bridge had been constructed near the site by the end of the 12th century. During the evaluation, the base of a wooden post and a sherd of late medieval pottery were found. The remains of a substantial 17th century building were recorded. [AIP] |
