Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was undertaken during dredging ahead of the refurbishment of Kingston Bridge. During the initial phase of dredging, a post-medieval waterlogged timber revetment was recorded. A sample of the artefact types retrieved was collected, which included some clay pipe fragments, post-medieval pottery, and most notably worked flint and a large sherd of Bronze Age pottery.
