Abstract: |
Cornwall Archaeological Unit was asked by Kerrier District Council to undertake a combined assessment and mitigation report for four shafts which had started to open up within recreation grounds at North Country, near Redruth. The project was designed to rapidly record all archaeological deposits and potential structural remains associated with operations at Wheal Mary encountered during capping work. None of the shafts had any associated, upstanding archaeological detail or intact collar arrangements. [Au(adp)] |
