Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during the excavation of a foundation pit for a new mobile phone mast. The earliest deposits exposed in the foundation pit were associated with the River Foss. These were sealed by a dump deposit that had been cut through for the considerable concrete raft for a bus lay-by. Abutting the concrete raft and sealing the levelling deposits were modern deposits associated with the levelling of the ground. [Au(abr)] |
