Abstract: |
Eleven evaluation trenches were excavated across a proposed development area at Croxton Road, Thetford. The majority of these revealed that the area had been used as a quarry, probably during the medieval period. Of particular note was a chalk-lined pit and a human skeleton, both of which were probably medieval in date and were located in the southern part of the site. One possible prehistoric feature and evidence of post-medieval/modern structure were also recorded. [Au] |
