Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during the installation of new railings, gates and handrail. No deposits of archaeological significance were identified. Five other pits for railings and a gate were excavated into the grassed interior of the ruined building, adjacent to the post-Blitz retaining wall. A layer representing debris from the bombing and subsequent levelling of the building was identified. [Au(adp)] |
