Abstract: |
A desk-top study was undertaken on a site where post-war work had encountered archaeological material of Roman and later date. Roman buildings, including bath and temple complexes, had been excavated in the vicinity, and the site lay near to St Paul's Cathedral. It was noted that modern construction work would have extensively affected archaeological deposits, but that deep-cut features may have survived. A small-scale evaluation was recommended. [AIP] |
