Abstract: |
<summary>An assessment of the archaeological implications was undertaken on an area of proposed large-scale development. Part of the study area is known to have been the heart of the Roman settlement of Wilderspool. The results of the appraisal clearly show that, despite having suffered considerable damage in the recent past, considerable "islands" of important archaeological deposits of Roman date remain intact. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
