Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavation of three trial trenches, was undertaken prior to the proposed redevelopment of the site. The excavation demonstrated that at least in the area of the trenches no significant archaeological deposits had survived. The earliest discernible archaeological deposit was a post-medieval agricultural type soil encountered between 6.5m OD and 6.69m OD, approximately 0.3m below the present ground surface. [Au(abr)] |
