Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavation of two trial trenches, both 10m by 2m, and three test pits, was undertaken prior to the proposed residential development of the site. The evaluation found evidence of significant modern ground disturbance and no deposits of archaeological significance. The test pits provided a profile through the waterlain deposits present beneath the 'made ground' although no peat was found in these test pits. [Au(adp)] |
