Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed a brick and tile floor (reusing 15th or 16th century tiles) which seemed to date to the 18th century. This floor abutted a limestone and brick wall that formed the north-west side of the building. The wall at foundation level and for one course above appeared to have been of 14th or 15th century date and may have served as the cill wall of this timber framed building. [Au(adp)] |
