Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken of the site prior to the proposed construction of houses with garages and services. The site lay to the south of developed land and to the south west of the parish church in Desborough. No archaeological remains were noted from the site itself. However, it was situated within 0.5km of several Saxon sites found within Desborough. A possible earthwork crossing the development site noted in the SMR appeared from photographic evidence to date from the late 1960s or early 1970s. [Au(adp)] |
