Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out on the site of a structure identified in 1998. A 4.5m diameter pit with a central post hole was identified, this was interpreted as the base of a sunken post mill. A shallow depression in concentric circles was interpreted as the track for the tail-pole. Artefactual evidence recovered from the site, dated the mil to the 12th or 13th century. [Au(abr)] |
