Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on the pipe laying associated with a new sewerage scheme. The sewerage scheme involved the laying of an extensive pipeline system around Dunwich village and the linking of this system to a sewerage works in Westleton parish. This work presented an opportunity to collect valuable topographical information about the western fringes of the medieval town. Several scatters of medieval and post-medieval pottery and finds were recovered but unfortunately no evidence for the town's defensive ditch was located. [Au(abr)] |
