A rapid archaeological assessment was undertaken on behalf of the Royal Commission in an area of poor archaeological knowledge. The assessment involved documentary survey, analysis of existing SMR/NMR information, examination of aerial photographs and field survey of all accessible land. The percentage increase of known sites within the area covered was 410%. [Au(adp)]
