Abstract: |
The archaeological assessment of the proposed pipeline identified two Scheduled Ancient Monuments, these being a Roman signal station/fortlet (SX 8856 8888) and a medieval cross (SX 9019 9132). Other sites of archaeological importance were located. Whilst the proposed pipeline route would not have a direct impact upon the sites reasonable mitigation strategies were called for. [AIP] |
