Abstract: |
A watching brief observed foundations for part of a paint mix room and associated control room at Building C of the Ford Motor Company (SOU 824). A further watching brief was undertaken on a new underground fire-main associated with the new building (SOU 828), due to the proximity of the two sites the report on the observations was combined. Natural gravel and brickearth deposits were found at both sites, cut by a number of uncertain features and sealed by a layer of uncertain date. Possible prehistoric worked flints were recovered from this layer at SOU 828. Two Second World War air raid shelters were found at SOU 824. [Au(adp)] |
