Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out on the 1.2km route, which was within an SSSI area and to the north of an Iron Age hillfort and Scheduled Monument within an area of rich Iron Age activity. A general stratigraphic sequence was observed. Six features were recorded along the route; five possible ditches and a spread of modern rubbish. The ditches were undatable and probably reflected traces of former field systems and lynchets similar to those recorded to the north of the route. [Au(abr)] |
