Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed a phase of landscaping prior to the construction of a limestone surface incorporating a later drain. Fragments of animal bone suggested a butchery site. This surface was significant as it had been thought that the area was agricultural in nature at this time. A second layer of landscaping over this was thought to relate to the construction of the 18th century houses. [Au(adp)] |
