Abstract: |
A trench of 0.7m by 0.6m was excavated to a depth of 0.3m adjacent to the Seven Sisters round barrow at Copt Hill Houghton-le-Spring. It was in preparation of the planting of a replacement tree ("The Seventh Sister"), as organised by the Friends of Copt Hill Community Group. The trench was located within the backfill of Trench 7 excavated by J A Hutton in 2004. No archaeological deposits or finds were recorded. [Au(adp)] |
