Abstract: |
Seven east-west auger transects across the valley bottom on the west bank of the Idle, adjacent to Blanco Hill Farm, showed that the peat was spatially variable in thickness along the valley. Two groups were identified based upon thickness and condition. Group 1 covered the northern area and were the better preserved; Group 2 covering the southern area were less well preserved, comprising predominantly thin mixed peaty deposits. [Au(abr)] |
