Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out before the construction of a clinic and GP's practice, on a site which had been landscaped at the time of the construction of Westmoor House. Sample trenches revealed that a thin deposit of subsoil survived the landscaping and from this finds of pottery and tile from the medieval period to the 18th century were recovered. Land drains of uncertain post-medieval date were located in all three evaluation trenches. [Au(adp)] |
